We love the nostalgic look of Super 8 film and jumped at the chance to use Josh's talents to record our wedding. The results were so beautiful that we immediately recommended him to all and sundry, and they have endlessly thanked us for it!

The Super 8 film that Josh made is our favourite memento from our wedding day. We had both seen enough cheesy wedding videos to be put off for life and initially decided to just have still photography, until we saw a Super 8 film Josh had filmed for a friend. Our still photos are beautiful, but Josh captured a certain movement and emotion from the day that we would have otherwise missed out on. Josh was a wonderfully calming influence, and managed to catch endless special moments in an unobtrusive way.
Josh edited the footage to music perfectly, with the end result being a beautifully crafted reflection of our wedding day that we know we can watch ourselves and share with friends and family for years to come.
The film is timeless, elegant, and the bridal party and guests look amazing. We love it.

Certain moments happen on one's wedding day that can be so easily overlooked and then forgotten. In hindsight did the photos taken by Great Aunt Beatrice on her two megapixel digital camera actually capture the essence of the day? No, of course not. They were rubbish. Did the ‘professional’ photographer actually do any more than capture correctly lit paparazzi shots of the newly combined families in which everyone had both eyes open? Not really (although Great Aunt Beatrice reckoned they were quite good, not bad).
Josh arrived with his wonderfully cool Super 8 camera and, after getting to know who was who and who wanted who to be where and when, proceeded to capture the most stunning images of the day, and moving at that. It's worth mentioning his garb was rather dapper, too. He could well have been the best man if it wasn't for the tell-tale pigeon-like whirr of the camera. Otherwise Josh maintained an air of almost invisibility.
Imagine our delight upon receiving the DVD but a few short weeks later. "You look like Charlie Chaplin!" shouted a delighted nephew. "We all do!” chortled Uncle John upon viewing the strikingly authentic of-days-gone-by moving images. The mix of the black & white and colour was simply breathtaking. With a soundtrack of carefully selected jazz, the editing was skillful, subtle and always respectful to the subject matter, us.
On what is a milestone moment in anyone's life, having had Josh capture, edit and present it in such a wonderful way is something I will always be grateful for. I can't imagine having planned our wedding without it. I wouldn't only not hesitate in recommending Josh, I'd insist. Brilliant.
